I will apologize up front as this will be a long review but I believe the whole story must be told to appreciate why I am so impressed with Gil’s. I was stranded with a flat after work and 80 miles from home. The guy who was sent by my insurance company for roadside assistance showed up an hour after my call and only managed to strip my lugnuts with his rusty tools and couldn’t get the tire off. It was now 7 PM and he shrugged and said you will have to get towed somewhere but I can’t do it because your insurance only covered us to try to change the tire and then left me there in worse shape than when he arrived! My insurance company apologized but after 20 minutes on the phone could offer no other help as they said they didn’t have any other vendors in the area that could help me. I was told to find someone on my own! After wasting 2 1/2 hours now with my insurance company and ending up in worse shape then when I started, I began looking up places on my phone and after every business name all I saw was “closed”. I expanded the search area and Gil’s came up and showed they were still open. I was so incredibly frustrated at this point but the voice of an angel answered the phone! Linda assured me they would take care of me. She made sure I was safe while I waited and said they would send someone out to me right away. Only 15 minutes later the tow truck arrived and about 5 minutes later we were on our way to Gil’s! I was absolutely blown away by their facilities! They are beautiful and immaculate, the service people were kind and welcoming, the mechanics communicative and honest. It was through a series of most unfortunate incidents that I was lead to these amazing folks and having the pleasure of meeting there acquaintances but it was worth the struggle that brought me there. I absolutely would recommend them to everyone and will definitely use their services in the future if needed!
